Bad from start to finish tonight, Boyatta looks out of sorts at right back and gave the ball away all the time, A.J faded and needs to play on the left or at least change wings...but who with? YaYa is totally unfit or just not up to the prem and cant or wont tackle, Kolorov couldn't control or cross the ball and never makes a tackle, Balotelli total waste of space who just sulked his way through the game no work ethic and what i saw tonight no-one passes to him or tries to gel's with him. Barry and Milner tried to do all the work for the rest and i can understand milners frustation of being took off. Dzeko another obvious slug display who i doubt will ever be quick enough to play at the top level.
Mancini.... why the fuck leave out Silva and NDJ? this should of been a confidence boost for next week and now it looks like Tevez is out. (who know's will we ever see him again? )

Can't see why he changed the Sunderland team me, if it had worked again tonight we'd be walking out onto the pitch on Saturday with a lot of confidence, if it hadn't quite worked out he could have made one or two changes.

Kolarov will be served to Nani on a plate, with his arms and legs tied behind his back and an apple in his mouth. Yaya will need ressusitation 15 mins into the match, 10 if it's hot weather again. Dzeko will certainly not have sharpened himself up in the space of 5 days, and Balotelli won't change the habit of a lifetime in that time either. So I don't actually know what team he can put out on Saturday that could work/ would work hard for each other/ would have confidence.

If he was intending to rest Silva and De Jong tonight, why bring them on when it was blatantly obvious we weren't going to score if we played all night. Plus, why not have rested Yaya, the guy can't get through one game a week - fact.

I don't think losing to Liverpool came as a suprise tbh but it's the manner of how it happened that was.
I presume we can only think RM made the changes to the starting line up, with the Semi in mind. If this was the case though (and he was going to bring NDJ & Silva on anyway) would it not have made sense to start with them, then bring them off, rather to bring them on to face a lost cause and risk injury?

There's no denying this was a very abject and inept performance, especially on the back of a great win, and maybe the only crumb of comfort you can take was that the players were thinking of the Semi too much too. Let's just hope this is the reason (i'm not saying that's right bytheway) and their confidence isn't shattered too much as without Tevez now, the job's been made a whole lot harder.
