Newcastle away
Just thought I'd like to point out the last time we won the league it was away to Newcastle.
So is this an omen that history will repeat itself.
Do you believe

I will hold hold on to anything!!! Come on!
Still think Swansea could get a draw at the swamp though.

Re: Newcastle away
Swansea blew a 4-1 lead at home against relegated Wolves blue, i'll be amazed if they get out of own half against the Rags .
The way i see this now is, we win at Newcastle the title's ours (coz we'll hammer QPR), if we don't, the Rags'll win it...as they'll win both of their games. Simples!!!!!

Re: Newcastle away
Although the scoreline suggests Newcastle won away with 2 impressive Cisse goals, the reality is that Chelsea could have got far more out of the game, and should have scored a few themselves but for some poor finishing (Sturridge... again) with one eye on the FA cup ( we know how that feels) they had an off night, but the final Cisse goal was down to Chech being too far off his line (Joe take note!)
Chelsea had enough possession and chances in and around the box to equalize, so I don't think we should be too unduly worried that Newcastle are unbeatable, they just haven't played us, yet...! they seemed to be opened up a few times by Chelsea from what I saw and it was only a wonder/fluke goal by Cisse that ended Chelsea in th90th min, so bodes well for Aguero, Tevez, Silva, Nasri etc we will hopefully take our chances and move a step closer to the prize!

Re: Newcastle away
We also have to take into account Chelsea made 6 changes from the week before, obviously with an eye on the Cup Final this weekend. Ok, it looks like an impressive win for Newcastle but we really shouldn't read too much into it, as Bewar3 says, Chelsea should still have got something out of the game.
ps. Great 2nd goal by Cisse, irrespective of where Cech was stood.

Newcastle should have scored at least four goals last night, & to blame the Chelsea keeper for that wonder goal says it all
Its a Cup Final on Sunday at Newcastle.

What are you saying, rag? We've taken more points off Newcastle than you have this season and you've played them twice already.

Re: Newcastle away
Chelsae have a real "Cup Final" on Saturday and then have the Champions League Final to look forward to.
Anyone who reads anything into last nights result other than Chelsea took it easy lives in cloud cuckoo land (somewhere in north manchester I believe).
Chelsea made sure they didn't get any injuries. Newcastle to be fair to them took advantage of that. I don't think they'll find City quite as easy to roll over.

I stand by my comments, Chech was half asleep and reacted far to slow, a keeper shouldn't be beaten from there. Chelsea were poor, but still had managed to open Newcastle up enough times to make it more interesting. They'll find it more difficult against our defence (hopefully) and we'll be playing in Cup Final mode, not thinking forward to it hoping not to get injured! Yes Newcastle could have scored more, as could we on monday night but for some wayward finishing!!!!

Re: Newcastle away
It Was a brilliant strike from Cisse with the outside of his boot but watch the keepers reaction, the bend deceives him, he thought it was going over but by the time he realises and makes and attempt at it he's too late.
