Hart - 6 - Terrible distribution yet again at times. It's something he really needs to work on to improve his game. Didn't have much to do, but was solid when called upon.

Zabaleta - 7 - Worked hard, another standard tireless performance.

Kompany - 8 - Good to have him back. Looked solid and confident at the back with Vince there commanding. Great goal as well. Not sure he meant it.

Lescott - 7 - Not much to do. Nice bit of skill in the other third.

Clichy - 8 - Looked back to his old self, running at the defence and great cross to set up the first goal.

Nasri - 7 - 2nd game he has played well this season. Not quite sure he deserved MOM, but at times just seems to take the ball aimlessly. Nice assist.

Silva - 9 - Man of the match for me. Had a great game, looked confident and topped it of with a great goal. Hopefully the injury isn't too serious. Didn't look too bad.

Yaya - 8 - What a train this guy is. Worked hard for the team and played a part defensively when needed as well. Great goal, although might not be his and just unstoppable at times.

Barry - 6 - Kept possession well, but he is definitely looking a couples of yards of the pace now. Maybe it's catching up with him. Terrible miss as well in the 1st half.

Tevez - 8 - Another goal, and another top performance.

Dzeko - 5 - Did nothing all game. Slow, a little bit lazy and just doesn't cut it for me. Had a couple of chances but he didn't take them well.

Subs
Aguero - 7 - Looked sharp, and chased down everything. Good to have him back.

Sinclair - 6 - Good shot for his first touch. Gave the ball away a couple of times though trying to hard to impress.

Garcia - 6 - Not much to do.



Enjoyed the game, which hasn't been too apparent lately. Newcastle made it very easy for us though. Did anyone else hear the Nasri boos when his name was called for MOM?

Thought Nasri was the only one making the difference for us in the 1st half upfront, set up the goal, and a tap in for Barry which he skied!
We were a bit sluggish in the 1st half an hour, probably due to the break, hopefully! played ourselves into the game,and showed some signs of our old selves, but wasn't too impressed at the start of the 2nd half. Hopefully we can build on this for the derby, but we need to step up and perform to our best.

Agree Dzeko did not do much but thought he was very unlucky on 3 occasions keeper pulled off 3 top drawer saves to deny him. My man of the match was Lescott absolutely superb at the back a couple of crucial interceptions. For once appeared calm & assured when playing the ball out & did not waste a pass all game Clichy ran him a close second. Agree about the start of thae 2nd half though we did get pulled apart a bit until we composed ourselves again.

hmm.....not sure guys with your assessments.

Nasri? Thought apart from his run and cross in the first half - he pretty much did what he normally does....skillage, then cuts inside and passes. Still think he is very over-rated.

Thought Dzeko was shite again. Never ever jumps. One or two good touches, but in the whole game....rubbish IMO.

Tevez, as per.

Kompany - some great interceptions and makes us look whole at the back.

Silva - back to his best.

Yaya - thought he was far the best player on the pitch - brilliant performance.

Barry - I think he did really well......Clichy? Superb.

Good overall performance by the team...............Great to see Sergio back.

Hart 6 distribution of a pub player at times,nothing to do other than that
Zab 7 solid without it being his best game
Kompany 8 class act
Lescott 8 really solid yet again,good to see him back playing with VK
Clichy 8 best display for a while
Barry 6 looks a bit out of sorts,open goal miss was horrific
Yaya 9 oozes class,best player on the pitch by a mile
Nasri 6 good assist for silvas goal but still slows the play too much for me and while he played ok.MOTM really?
Silva 8 getting his mojo back and we look far more dangerous for it
Tevez 7 usual 100% and deserved his goal
Dzeko 4 proof positive that white men can't jump,lazy ineffective 90 minutes of shite. Just get rid,attitude is a disgrace

Too slow for the first 20 mins and again at the start of the 2nd when Newcastle really should've got back into the game
Lack of pace in the side is our biggest flaw and needs sorting out in the summer

Lescotts skill had me in stitches at times today.......never knew he possessed such class.
Yaya was by far the best today, as stated.
Can't remember Harts distribution bein that poor tbh.
Nasri did ok imo, Clichy and Zab were the same.
Vince just adds stability to everyone around, good solid performance.
Barry was, well just Barry, as pplf said miss was horrific (think even i'd have scored that).
Silva and Tevez were on form too, good to see if just a bit too late.

1st 10 minutes of the 2nd half were a slight worry but the rest was just a training exercise, good but not spectacular performance overall.

Silva or Yaya for me, a bit of Sunshine and all looked good. Did i say all?? Dzeko just aint got anything other than a Sub place for me... just never been a fan and cant see what he offers other than a Sub place when desperate? Good to see VK back ( think Mancini took him off to make a point) and Sergio getting a run out, lets hope for a good run now!
