City make a new signing!

Oh, come on now! It's bad enough we had a summer of crappy signings, but this is beyond a joke now. Surely the powers that be knew we'd want Nigella!! Bloody hell, it's all going to be thyme and lemon all over everything...

continues the theme of getting 2nd raters rather than top notchers.
And Nigella is very much top notch.

Well Pukka!
Personally, used to think he was a bit of a nob, but the stuff he's done for charities, the kids school diets, 15 restaurants etc , I think he's pretty sound.

If I had the choice, I'd get Rick Stein in, I've been down to his restaurant in Cornwall while we were on holiday last year, great fish and chips, great beer too!

Re: City make a new signing!
Yes, he's replete with good works. But just like Dzeko's 110 goals for Wolfsburg, will it translate into City becoming more than it already is? Sorry, I just don't think we're going to get there by just chucking thyme and lemon juice on everything and making it free to inner city kids whose diet normally consists of chicken dippers and McDonalds. No, what we need from our food now isn't just sustenance, but to exude the promise of, erm, extras, and for that we need Nigella.Bewar3them00n wrote:Well Pukka!

But hey, it's good to be able to discuss the beautiful game

Well I disagree there (big surprise eh) - my brother is a chef - having "cheffed" in Switzerland and Austria as well as running his own business in Brampton for years. Even the Prime Minister visited his bakery where his pastries were second to none. He endorses Jamie Oliver's recipes - not Nigella's. So there.

As a veggie I'm not her greatest fan but she has things going for her to sway the argument

If Nigella is serving cheese and onion pie and I'm on a promise I'll make do with cheese and onion pie
