Barry last night
What was wrong with Gareth Barry last night? He was lucky he was still on the park at the end of the game. He was making some pretty rash tackles, losing possession with slack passes and then mouthing it off to the ref which got him a yellow and a lecture from the ref with the captain(Zab) called over.
I'm surprised that Bobby never took him off instead of Nasri to be honest.

Re: Barry last night
Milner and Nasri were a damn sight worse than Barry last night......those 2 were shocking.
Barry always makes rash challenges MCM , his mouthing off was probably due to frustration with his wayward passing.

Re: Barry last night
I agree about Milner and Nasri but wasn't Barry already on a yellow when Bobby took Nasri off?
Anyway we seem to have no width and miss Yaya which means we need to sign a more dynamic player in midfield that can make things happen. We can't keep bemoaning the fact that we miss Yaya when he is at the ACON but do nothing about it.
We also need to sign a top predatory striker, Aguero and Tevez work hard and open up teams with their pace and quality but we need a goal scorer who is, dare i say it, like RVP!!!

Re: Barry last night
Agree - Nasri missing all match, Milner, apart from trying a few shots (thank god somebody did) that their keeper did well to save, his distribution was shocking.
also thought Tevez was plodding all second half and not really offering that much, so could understand why we brought him off.
zab was our motm for me again - not that it meant much last night, but he created a few break aways from his own efforts, and really was trying to get down that right hand side a few times.

7 HART One brilliant save from Taarabt in the first half earned his corn on the night, and he simply had to do the basics right apart from that
8 ZABALETA Skipper in the absence of Kompany, and apart from defensive solidity he hit the bar and set up Aguero with great chance
7 GARCIA The pressure was rarely on the makeshift City defence, but he did not look out of place, and almost scored a screamer
7 LESCOTT One or two troublesome moments with Remy, but the big man’s experience and cool head were invaluable
6 CLICHY Unusually quiet on the attacking front, and his hesitancy handed Taarabt QPR’s best chance
5 NASRI Just wasn’t at the races, giving away possession and never looking like he was going to make a difference on a wet, cold, windy night
6 MILNER Some of his long passing was ambitious on such a windy night, but he dug in and gave every ounce
7 BARRY Was the most influential midfielder on show, prompting his forwards with sharp passes, and competed as always
7 SILVA Not the conditions a Canary Islander might choose, but he was still involved in most of City’s best work
6 TEVEZ No complaints about his work rate, but the quality he possesses was largely hidden on a difficult night
6 AGUERO The ball bounced off him too often, and there was too much blind-alley running – and he wasted a great chance
Subs
DZEKO (for Nasri 58) Didn’t change things 6
RODWELL (for Tevez 74) Looked a tad rusty 6
SINCLAIR (for Milner 86) close to a penalty 6
