FA Cup - All North West semi-final?
I've just been looking at the quarter final draw and it occurs to me that we could end up with every club going to Wembley being from Lancashire.
Of the draws, we've got Everton v Wigan, which is an all North West affair anyway. I expect United to win their tie regardless of which team wins tonight and I reckon we should beat Barnsley (famous last words!!). But if Blackburn beat Millwall, then I suspect Virgin Trains will be overjoyed at the increased revenue on semi final weekend.
This leads me to think of other stuff. Such as, has this ever happened before, where a region has had all four teams in a semi final? Or what the bookies would give as odds on it happening? Or, even more importantly, why the hell didn't they build the national stadium somewhere that's easier to get to for everyone who doesn't live in London?
