Team for the Tykes
.................Hart
Zab........Kolo......Nasty......Clichy
...........Garcia.......Yaya
Milner.........Silva.........Tevez
..............Sergio
Sergio should start (if fit), as we need to go all guns blazing from the off.....just like the Leeds game. Kolarov and Barry may replace Clichy and Garcia but that's the team i'd start with.
Can't believe this is a 5.30ko, i'm going to a do at 7 and had to turn my 2 tickets down. Gutted!

Can't fault that team Den. Taking my kids to their first 'proper' match of the season (community shield doesn't count). 5.30 start isn't great for kids.

Re: Team for the Tykes
Maybe I'm the only one who thinks a 5:30 start is a good thing? With it being Mothers Day weekend, I've got to sort out the kids to get something nice for the missus, find something for my own mum and take it to her house, organise a meal for Sunday evening, manage my son's team in a tough league game they need to win and catch up on all the other stuff I didn't get done last weekend because I was ill. Frankly, having such a late kick-off is proving to be something of a blessing!
Oh, and I reckon Pants will be in goal for this game.

Re: Team for the Tykes
I don't think Hart will play an FA Cup game until we're up against a PL side and Pants has done a pretty decent job for us in this competition up until now.
But I agree with you on the rest of the team. We need to take Barnsley apart like we did Leeds and Watford, no messing about, show some intent etc. A trip to Wembley should be incentive enough.

Tbh, Pants should stay in the team even if we do get to Wembley......unless he has an absolute mare tomorrow .

Re: Team for the Tykes
I see Delap is playing for Barnsley on loan, so the long ball throw in will be used no doubt, so Pants would be a good way of negating that.
Lets hope Mancini doesn't put out a weakened side, we don't need to give them even a sniff, I want a convincing victory please!

Aguero is out so I would imagine Dzeko will take his place in Shaken's team

Pantilimon
Zabaleta kolo Nastasic Clichy
Milner Garcia
Nasri yaya silva
Tevez
Think Nasri might get a start and put Carlos up top on his own with yaya further forward

Well, if Nasri can't make a game out of lower league competition then he really will have been a waste of money!

I think we'll make a couple of changes from recent weeks -
Pants
Zab, Kolo, Nasty, Kolorov
Milner, Barry, Garcia, Sinclair
Lopez, Dzeko
Bench of
Hart, Clichy, Yaya, Silva, Tevez, Suarez,Guidetti

Re: Team for the Tykes
I sincerely hope not. Don't ever underestimate anyone.
No point playing Sinclair as he is obviously not the future.
Too soon for Lopes.
Why not stick out a strong team, get a decent 3 or 4 nil lead before putting a couple of the kids on for the last 80 minutes?

Re: Team for the Tykes
Have to agree Topdawg, they've not got to this stage by being pushovers, if we field a weakened side, and get stung by a lucky goal or two, it will be difficult to try to break them down and change the system on the fly, best go at them all guns blazing, get a decent lead, then bring a few young urns on like last time, Lopes and Saurez for Silva and Tevez, see how they get on

This is now the most important game of our season
To play a weakened team would be madness
