Chelsea spending big again

Chelsea spending big again
Chelsea look like they are starting the transfer window with a bang.
Bayer Leverkusen's director of sport Rudi Voller confirms that talks
have begun with Chelsea over the possible sale of Germany international
Andre Schurrle to the Blues.
"Yes, I was in London and we have held talks," says Voller to Germany's Bild newspaper.
We have to get this next transfer window right. Chelsea will keep spending big money on decent players until they get it right again.
Arsenal will keep spending money on half-decent players until they get lucky and buy a couple of really good players and then they may be a force again.
Spurs and Liverpool will keep spending until they care top 4 again.
Utd always have spent big and will continue to do so especially with all their new sponsorship deals pouring money into the club.
We cannot afford to mess this up or we could so easily slip to 4th or 5th in the table.

I'm pretty sure Mancini has said exactly the same thing to the powers that be Dawg, so i'm not overly worried his main targets will be missed this time round. Here's hoping anyway

Re: Chelsea spending big again
Unless Chelsea manage to win the Europa League, they'll finish this season potless and possibly having to play qualifiers for the CL next season. How on earth can they afford to keep splashing out on players and stay within FFP?
Oh, of course, silly me. Gazprom are one of Chelsea's sponsors and also sponsor UEFA and the Champs League. So no conflict of interest there then...

Re: Chelsea spending big again
Chelsea broke even last year when they won the CL and FA Cup. This season they should be about £20-£25M shy of breakeven. New TV money and sponsorships will cover the shortfall.
Pension off Lampard and Terry and that's another £15M a season saved.
It's like Rocky and Bridge leaving us at the end of the season - £8M saved every season!
