Liverpool just can't do PR

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers says the severity of Luis Suarez's 10-match ban for biting Chelsea's Branislav Ivanovic has left them "bitterly disappointed".

"That is something we are bitterly disappointed with - not so
much the ban because everyone has seen it and Luis was very open and
honest to know it was wrong," said Rodgers.

"The punishment is against the man, rather than the incident.

"In the last few years there have been two incidents both in
2006. One player [Jermain Defoe] received no ban and continued to be
backed by the FA as part of the England squad. The second player got a
five-game ban."

Well, duh! Of course it's against the man, he's done it before! What the hell do they expect? It's all well and good playing the victim card, Brendan, but that's how justice works. Do it once, get a slap. Do it again, get a harder slap. And I've seen the footage of his first incident, he looks like Dracula getting a touch of bloodlust!
