Footballer voiceovers
After scooping up a treble this season, it seems Bayern Munich keeper Manuel Neuer is after yet another trophy, this time maybe an Oscar for "Best voice actor in an animated movie". Assuming such a gong actually exists...
He's playing the role of Frank McKay (yeah, me too) in the new film, Monsters University

He is the latest in a very short line of footballists doing voice acting: Iniesta pioneered the football/voice actor path when he provided a voice in the Spanish version of Pirates! last year, but nobody else has chosen to exploit this particular goldmine until now.
However, I have it on good authority that there's a Scouse version of Monsters Uni, with some of the voices being supplied by Steven Gerrard, Wayne Rooney and the recently retired Jamie Carragher. Disney Pixar bosses are saying they are hoping it will attract more Scousers to the cinema. It seems they are having to trial a new technique of slowing the movie down to allow for the extra time required while they say "Eeeeeeeeeeeeeerm", although current estimates are putting the film at a bum numbing five hours, making it the most painful movie to watch since Lincoln.

Re: Footballer voiceovers
I reckon Jimmy Bullard could do a decent animated voiceover.
