What Were You Thinking Dave!!!

From Martinez to Owen Coyle - FFS.  He was pathetic at Bolton.  Hardly got them playing attractive football.  Crap appt. IMO.  Poor Old Wigan.

I don't know who else there is though Wensdi. McLaren? Hoddle? Hmmm. Best of a bad bunch it seems.

I think it's a decent appointment tbh, Coyle had alot to put up with behind the scenes at Notlob and did ok considerin. Ok, i accept they didn't play the best footy, but he played to their strengths...ie, Kevin Davies. Freedman only changed Boltons fortunes once he got dropped. He also got Burnley into the PL on a shoestring budget throwing a fair bit of money into their coffers along the way.

It's a great appointment for Burnley fans. They'l be looking forward to giving Coyle a load of abuse again !

Sorry - can't stand him nor can I understand a word he says.  He left Burnley in the lurch - for Bolton - and then failed at Bolton.  Main point is I do like Wigan and obviously RM - I'm sure I won't see them playing the same footie again.  Bolton were cloggers.

All the Wigan fans interviewed on Sky Sports - agreed with me too.  What about Di Matteo - think he's still on the dole.  I can't believe out of 15 "possibles" - he chose Coyle.  Soz.

I agree.  RDM would've been a miles better appointment, especially since it's not been much more than 12 months since he won the FA Cup and the Champs League.  He'd have kept them playing decent football and would've got them back into the PL.  Coyle is more likely to get them relegated again.

Last post on the subject but Bolton were dire under Coyle and Wigan looked class at times under Roberto.  I can't imagine that Coyle has been reading up on how to play free flowing exciting football.  LOL

Pie Eaters stayed 5 years too long in the prem, sorry it's a rugby league town.  Coyle is about right, no way was RDM going to Wigan, he will get a prem job sometime this season.

I'm married to a Bolton fan (for my sins) and she much prefers Coyle to Freedman bizarrely.  I mean who leaves a team now promoted to the prem for Bolton?  Oh yes a mercenary money grabber who tripled his wage?  Not a lot of ambition there? and I've not a lot of love for any of them.
