Lakey is leaving!!

After years of being an ambassador for our beloved club, not to mention being a much loved player and all round good guy, Paul Lake is off to pastures new with the Premier League in a post which will see him driving forward academy football.

As sad as it is to see such a great bloke leave the club, I wish him well in his new role.  It looks like just the sort of thing he'd be good at and I hope he makes it work for the benefit of every young hopeful out there.

He spoke about it towards the end of the season on Blue Tuesday on GMR (or whatever they call it now)

He was very sad to be leaving but the new job was too good an opportunity to miss.

When you see some of the overpaid d1cks swanning around like they are something, you get Paul who was such a mega talented player cut down in his prime.  Such a shame because the lad could have gone so far in the game.  Glad he is still making a good living from the game though.

Completely agree, Blistering.  Lakey was a proper talent who should've been able to make his money playing instead of being given second rate treatment from old tightarse Swales.  Economy class after knee surgery, I ask you!  He deserves every success.
