Some shocking defending. Garcia and Kolarov seem to be at fault.

Re: City vs Milan
I'll take your word for it, Dawg. We were five up and conceded three so quickly, I'd be inclined to believe our defence fell asleep for a bit. Hopefully it's the wake-up call we need to stop leaking so many goals!

Re: City vs Milan
It's all happened so quickly that I've missed some of it. Garcia dawdled on the ball when he was last man, lost control = goal.
Kolarov fouled his man, the defence thought it was a pen, a bit lucky for Milan that one.
Kolarov stepped up for the 3rd leaving Lezza stranded.

It could easily have been 5-5 as they missed two more just before the break.

It is a poor defence Garcia and Kolorov are shite at defending and Lescott is too slow

Re: City vs Milan
Fernandinho, Navas and Jovetic have come off, for Rodwell, Negredo and Nasri. Not sure how that'll stack up in the second half.

Re: City vs Milan
Thought de Jong was excellent
Will be interesting 2c how we fair against the European Champions
We Re looking good on the attack Slightly worried bout the defence wi Nasty injured and Kolorov.a hopeless defender

Re: City vs Milan
In the end, a more than fair result for Milan, did we have an agreement to play our shittest defence?!!
To be fair, 2nd half was tighter, but if this was to give Kolarov some shop window time, it sure worked! Scored a decent goal, but my, he was poor in defence!!
Dzeko looks full of confidence, Negredo was unlucky not to score, Our first 30 mins was excellent, the Next game will be a far tougher prospect, so maybe Manny was saving Vinny for that? Can't complain, 5 goals, marker put down!

Re: City vs Milan
For the first 35 minutes we were unplayable, and then we were back to our old ways,Dzeko was very good as was Jesus and Negredo, and Micah was a revelation, back to his best.Nigel De Jong was really good, but on the wrong team. The second half was a non event,if we do not plug the defence tomorrow, the score could be in reverse. But it was good to see the new signings fitting in so well although Fernandinho was very quiet!!

Re: City vs Milan
Manny's experiment with defence just about survived, but to say it worked would be mistake, if it was only to save our best for the next game, then understandable, but Garcia and Lescott, well, more like Laurel and Hardy!, but with Kolarov's non defence making it even worse, Lescott was left plugging gaps and getting lost all at sea in the process!
Rest of the team were excellent, great debut for Jovetic to play in! Silva, Navas, Yaya, Fernandinho ( great thru ball for Richards goal) Richards were all very good too, very happy for Micah, and want to see more of those Yaya-esque runs this coming season!
Hopefully we'll have Vinny and Clichy back next game, and no doubt Zaba too, so our defending should improve no end!

Re: City vs Milan
Our last couple of results have been great, and what we must remember is that Sergio Aguerro has not played in them. When he gets going the rest of the Prem.will have to watch out, with Silva in his present form and the newbies shaping up no wonder Pelligrini says he has the best in the Prem. But fellow blues please remember that the rags are competing in the Charity Shield, you know the Mickey Mouse cup as they called it last season. So if they do win it please do not ridicule it:)

Re: City vs Milan
God - you lot are a tough bunch. First 30 minutes - thought they all played well - Navas hit some good crosses on his corners - and Negredo is just such a good looking bloke - don't care if plays well or not (ha ha). Didn't expect the defence to be that good without Vinnie, Zabs, Clichy nor Nasty playing - at least we SCORED 5 GOALS - as opposed to last season where we couldn't hit a barn door. Think MP is just experimenting at the moment before the season really starts.

Re: City vs Milan
I hope they do win it. It's usually the kiss of death for a team's title hopes. Checking over every winner since the turn of the century, there's been 13 winners and only four times have they gone on to win the league.coolenglishbob wrote:But fellow blues please remember that the rags are competing in the Charity Shield, you know the Mickey Mouse cup as they called it last season. So if they do win it please do not ridicule it:)

Re: City vs Milan
If we can sort out the defence for the next game tonight! Vinny Clichy Zaba then we will be far tighter, and hopefully Aguero will get some game time too!
Thought Yaya, Fernandinho and Silva bossed the midfield, and with Jovetic Dzeko and Nvas seemingly on the same wavelength, and Richards too for that matter, we were purring for 35 minutes, we just need to keep it tight and not fall into the trap of thinking its safe to go on autopilot at the back, I felt sorry for Lescott and Joe, they were left stranded for the goals

Rumour is, Aguero will be lucky to be fit for the start of the season! Let's hope that's all bollocks.

Re: City vs Milan
I would rather not risk Aguero in a friendly if he is not 100% fit. I would even rather he missed the first 2 League games and comes back fit and raring to go than risk losing him for longer.
