If only they asked around, I'm sure they could have got a few more players. Registration being the only issue, but how many times have you used a new player and just put a registered players name down?

Haha, i read this too this morning. There's obviously alot going on behind the scenes, but fair play to the 7 that turned up and played....must have been a shit game to play in.

I played a match years ago starting with 8 players against a team near the top of the table. We played 4-2-1 and scored a goal with our only attack. We held on until the last 5 or so minutes then conceded two goals

You should have played 5-1-1, maybe you'd have held on then. Although once you'd scored i suspect you changed to a 7-0-0 formation .

And two of the seven were injured as well!
I sometimes have to resort to getting new players in and forge the signature on the team sheet, but this is the joy of getting an U16's team together when all they want to do is hang out with their mates.

We stuck by our footballing principles Den and stayed 4-2-1. I remember one clearance I made when I was about two yards from the line and wellied it some 40 yards into some trees. They had the last laugh though.
