Blueboy, just watch fernandinho and the positions he has taken up in this game - he cuts out so many potential passes for the opposition. Honestly, he is and will be a class act for us.

If he'd used other players this season instead of those three, we'd have more options for games like this.

 Melton, I've never said he isn't a good player... I've praised him for his performances, it's Garcia who I have the biggest problem with. But after tonight, WTF do I know???

I'm just saying all he can do is utilise the squad he has, Dzeko up top was the right choice tonight as was Kolorov because it gave us a quick out ball - Dzeko has won virtually every header he has gone for. Toure has looked nackered recently, he needed a break and is rather that be now and he be fit for Arsenal. Kompany, again, not worth the risk.

These are players that would not be in his first XI but he has played them in the right game tonight regardless of the result and he has got them playing well. I'm sorry, but he has got it spot on tonight against probably the best team in the world.

I do get your point mate, but as I said on a different thread, I think Pellegrini wants to make more changes to the playing staff. At the same time, he plays a different brand of football to Mancini, it will take some players more time to adjust to it. Dzeko isn't bad overnight, he needs to press for the system to work and as soon as he (and the midfield) did, the defence were no longer exposed and stopped making silly mistakes.

The exact same transition happened at Malaga and Madrid as well with Pellegrini, all I'm saying is he knows what he is doing. It may take a season and wel only fully reap the rewards next year, but if it sets us up for the future, then I'm happy with it. I wrote something about him on a different forum about him, I'll post it on here later as it's quite a lengthy one!

We are right at them at times and they don't like it.

If anything, it's proved we don't need to fear anyone.

Hold my hands up, whole team did well once they decided to play. Get our head space right and we should not fear anyone.

Good result...but at 3-2 it would've been great to see us introduce Aguero and get that 4th goal... Because as good as a result that was...it means absolutely nothing. We're still second in the group. I hate to pick on the negative after a historic win away at Bayern..but it's an opportunity missed. Well done to all the team in the second half.. MP must have given them a hair dryer moment after that first half. As poor as we were in the first half, Bayern were as bad in the second. 

Really didn't see or hear of Garcia all game...and for a DMF against Bayern, that says something!!

I thought Garcia was really good second half to be honest. The problem with him is he suits a three man midfield, which we don't usually play.

With Aguero, I think he thought take the win and move on - it's a big confidence booster more than anything else. Had he come on and done what Richards did, we'd have said why risk bringing him on.

Yep, Pellers got it wrong and our shitty support staff didn't help him out.

I'm not sure how much that'll help us on the coefficient but every little helps!

I'm really happy with the win..I'm just not looking forward to how the press will berate MP tomorrow and make us look stupid after a great result.

Looking at the coefficients, we are down in 25th at the moment. After this run, we are guaranteed to rise 3 place minimum and maybe an extra couple of places depending on tomorrow nights results.

From next season, we'll start to drop that terrible 3.85 points for 5 seasons ago.

Also noticed that Europa League also gives 2 points for a win and 1 for a draw which is exactly the same as the CL. That aint right.

After that first 15 minutes I'm just happy with the win.
It showed that, no matter who we play, we should have the confidence to be positive.
So we f*cked up with the number of goals required! but to win the tournament we can't avoid the big teams. I guarantee that nobody will want to draw us.
F*ck me! we beat the best team in Europe in their own ground with Garcia, Kolorov and Dzeko starting, so anything is possible!

Yeah, because that'll be a really easy sell.  I suppose it might've helped if we'd beaten the current European champions in their own back yard after going two behind in the first ten minutes, a team who've not lost at home in christ knows how long, the same team that thrashed us at our place a couple of months ago, or even if we'd won three out of three away games in the CL when we're allegedly struggling on the road.

10 straight wins in champs league and they started with 8 of the players that started at ours. They certainly are beatable. Maybe the fact we played Garcia, Kolarov and Dzeko was the master stroke needed to throw them off their stride.
