Re: AVB SACKED
I guess losing 5-0 at home to a Liverpool team that didn't include Gerrard and Sturridge, would drive any Chairman to take drastic action.

Re: AVB SACKED
I think the complete absence of any tactics and having no shots on target at all might have had something to do with it. And the games they have won haven't exactly been convincing.
He was lucky not to have been fired after we murdered them the other week, maybe he was in the last chance saloon.
Wonder who Levy's going to get in next?

Re: AVB SACKED
Both the club and AVB have cocked up. They weren't his signings in the summer and buying all foreign was total bollocks.
Bale saved them so many times last season, they should have tried to buy max 3 or 4 really good players rather than 6 or 7 decent ones.
They could have had Negredo and Navas for instance or gone for Shaw or some good British talent. Lamela for £30M, you're having a laugh.
AVB didn't help himself with pretty negative tactics. Once he was in trouble he should have played with 2 up front (including Defoe) especially at home.

I think the fact they kept saying that Suarez had scored more goals this season than the whole Spurs team even after missing the 1st 6 games summed it all up. The writings been on the wall since our 6-0 tbh.

I still can't understand why Defoe spends so much time on the bench when he's got such a good eye for goal. I mean, even if he didn't, he'd still score more than Soldado.
I know it's the spuds and we don't like them very much, but this would be funny if it wasn't so tragic. I'm sure most of us are old enough to remember our beloved club being dragged southwards thanks to some piss poor buys and part of me can't help but feel a bit sorry for the spuddies now. It's a very small bit, just on the back of my left leg, near the achilles tendon...

Re: AVB SACKED
Interesting thoughts....
Can't believe any of the imports this season were his signings...but Baldini keeps his job.
He took Spurs to within 1 point of the CL last season.
He got a pasting by us, but then so did Arsenal and United.
He has the best win ration at 55% - 86 games, 54 wins, 16 losses and 16 draws than any manager at Spurs in over 100 years....
Yesterday - they lost 3 goals after having a man sent off.
They're 7th, 5 points off 4th place after those 2 heavy defeats....They are 1, maybe 2 places below where they should be after losing Bale.
Football's gone mad.
