I indeed once kidded a kidder, so I've always found that hypothesis to be somewhat flawed.

But i agree that the FA needs to sort its own house out, but at least they are making a deserved stand against FIFA, albeit somewhat belatedly.

Football has always been bent, now its just a row about who's the most bent!!!!!!!

I'm afraid, with the amounts of money that are involved in todays game, you are always going to have people on the take. The problem with FIFA is the closed shop they operate, safe from prying eyes. Lets hope some of the sponsors put some pressure to change, because hitting them in the pocket is the only way to do it.

Is FIFA is especially corrupt? It's a small organisation with a brief to organise football matches. Nobody lives or dies by its actions.

A system which allows the greasing of palms to decide where a football tournamemt is played seems faillry reasonable to me.

My concern is why we are so bothered about our postion within FIFA. Other countries are perfectly capable of producing a confusing off-side rule or other such unimportant affairs.

If FIFA don't want us to have the world cup then fine. We don't need it.

Having just sold the next 2 world cups, after making making noumerous countries spent £8m+ on their bid dossier, it seems to me that that the whole process was completely pointless. If they were honest from the start and we did'nt have to suck up too scum like Jack Warner to win votes then i would'nt have a problem. FIFA, and blatter especially, is trying its hardest to undermine the FA and english football. If FIFA was'nt all about the money they would'nt be taking the FA to court over broadcast rights, having a free to air world cup is the priority of the FA and they work hard to continue letting us watch it without being ripped off by SlyTV. Giving England the world cup would give us a better chance of winning it, but none of them want that to happen. They dont like our country because of the Media, and the freedom they have, it seems to me the Corrupt fuckers have something to hide.

Bernstein is trying to straighten things out and making United play by the same rules as everyone else is a good place to start. The rags won't like it because it could mean them having players suspended when they've usually got off and referees appointed by the Premier League, not Fergie which might cost them 9 points a season.

As for Blatter, I imagine his meetings with his fellow officals are like these Pyramid Scheme recruitment seminars. "Stick with me and I'll make you rich" which, in the case of FIFA, is true.
