Team vs Sunderland
OK....this is not who I would play, but who I think MP will...changed my mind, Lezza in for DeM after hearing his interview on MCFC.tv

Re: Team vs Sunderland
I really DO hope Lezza plays on Sunday.....he's played every round, Captained the team away at WHU....won a PL and Charity Shield...this is all that's missing for nearly 5 years of service.....if he leaves.....let's hope it's with the missing piece of silverware for him - a domestic treble.....cheers Lezza, we've not always raved over you, but no-one can doubt your commitment to the cause...and as we know, when players like you and Bazza leave...we really see how good you've actually been.

Pants
Zabba Vinny Lezza Clichy
Silva Yaya Fernando Nasri
Negredo Aguero
Would be my team. And apart from Hart is probably our best team so MP will set up nothing like this

It's not about what we'd go with PPLF...it' what you think he'll go with.....our opinions are defunct...
Your team is exactly what I would go with....but I'm guessing Aguero may be a sub....and get 35 mins depending on circumstances....
I'd love Yaya, Silva and Nasri to be behind Aguero........talk about movement and attacking intent!!

I'd like your team too PPLF, but it aint gonna happen. Maybe with Negredo or Dzeko up top and Aguero coming on if needed.

Dzeko wouldn't be anywhere near my starting X1

Re: Team vs Sunderland
PPLF......I agree with your team apart from Garcia...... I would swap him out for serge........we have to get their mindset into defending from the start and wondering how the hell they can stop us......I think with just one up front we could blunt ourselves a little bit against a team that will fight in midfield.....I would however have dzeko waiting to come on at 55/60 mins for serge to score his customary goal...(after 5 blatant misses of course..!!)

If we played with an attacking front 4 we would need 2 DMs to protect the back 4

Re: Team vs Sunderland
Agree...if we add Sergio with Yaya behind and the usual protagonists to assist, then we'd need a little more DFM cover...but I can't see MP going that way...think he'll leave Sergio on the bench and play the usual 2 up front.......with Nasri and Silva to do the creative work.

Negredo and Dzeko can't play together
Hope Pellegrini only plays one up top if Sergio not fit to start

Again, agree...but he won't....he has this stubborn approach that thinks it works every time....and it clearly doesn't...lets hope the Stoke and Norwich game have shown that Negredo is better on is own up front...a long as Yaya supports him with Silva.....but it won't happen.

Re: Team vs Sunderland
Spot on, except for one minor point: He's won the FA Cup as well as the PL and Charity Shield, so this would be a domestic quadruple for him. And that really WOULD be a coup, he'd be one of a very select few players to get that.blueboy wrote:I really DO hope Lezza plays on Sunday.....he's played every round, Captained the team away at WHU....won a PL and Charity Shield...this is all that's missing for nearly 5 years of service.....if he leaves.....let's hope it's with the missing piece of silverware for him - a domestic treble.....cheers Lezza, we've not always raved over you, but no-one can doubt your commitment to the cause...and as we know, when players like you and Bazza leave...we really see how good you've actually been.

In the last 20 years, only a few players have won all those.
