Surely this money would be better spent on someone that might actually be good enough to make the breakthrough.
Will Hughes, as an example, would be very happy with £35k p/w.

Problem is Dawg...if we sold Boyata, we'd be lucky to get £3m for him. To buy Will Hughes for example would cost at least £8m - then his wages. It's just easy to keep Boyata, he is obviously happy to play a bit-part...Hughes may well want to play more football.

True Bluey, but what's the point in keeping someone that won't play? We bought Sinclair for what? That was a total waste of £5M and his wages.
I'd let Boyata go for free (as he's out of contract I think) and go for someone who may be happy for a bit part but who still has a chance of making it

I think it's just a way of getting through next season with the HG player issue.

Yes it is and that's one of the reasons we wanted to keep Micah Richards. We just need to go out and get 2-3 quality HG players, it can't be that impossible can it?
