However, how can it be possibly allowed? What's the point of having a rule, but allowing this?

It's like now......all these transfers - Milner, Ings etc. I thought they were under contract with their clubs until 30th June and transfers can only be made on 1st July when the transfer windows open?

Sort of makes a mockery of the transfer window - which is shite anyway and should be abolished.
