I little bit of hope
Afetr the thrashing Balotelli got on here a few days ago (not saying some of it wasnt justified) I think a little bit of hope shone through tonight.
The goal was an absolute peach, well judged pass and a killer finish. He smiled (Though a little as if he's embarssed to celebrate) and ruffled Silva's hair. Maybe it is self depreciation that stops him smiling at his goal scoring ability.
THe way Balotelli got between Dunne and Yaya when there wasa bit of handbags and basicly streered Yaya away. I would have thought in the past he would have got involved and was the most unlikely peacemaker.
Finally the way he reacted to being subed and the way he encouraged Tevez when they passed on the touchline.
Just maybe, maybe there is a little hope for him yet.

Great goal by him. Thought he did OK for the rest of the match. Twattenberg yellow carded him for putting his armpit up even though he didn't see it AGAIN & was pressured into it by the Villa players. How that was worse than Rooneys elbow which he supposedly saw is beyond me. TWAT !
Pleased he didn't have a tantrum when he was subbed so maybe he has learned a lesson but we shall see in the next match

His goal was quality, but he still has the odd fuck up, like the short freekick he spooned wide, and the overhead-miss against Aris.

Thinks it helped him being the 'main man' up top as well

Yep I am slowly being proved wrong about him. I thought he did brilliantly. Great movement, quality finish and decent temperament, very impressed. Like a different lad.
Re: I little bit of hope
Looks like he might be settling in a bit. Lets be honest, if the likes of Torres, or Rooney would have scored that goal, the press and Sky would be wanking themselves silly over it, but it hardly gets a mention, absolutely top draw finish.

Methinks Bobby may have burned his earhole a little pre-match.

Re: I little bit of hope
We have to remember - he hasn't played a gret deal, is getting used to the 'stick' he is going to get from players, never mind fans.
Yes - he still needs to do more during the 90 minutes, but i think we are seeing him silk less when things dont go his way, react less, when somebody has a go at his heels, over-play less the challenges........and last night, play the peace-maker for the team. That single act in itself proved to me, that he is realising that he is part of a team, and without a team spirit, he won't be anything special.
His finish, as was mentioned, was absolutely superb.......did it get the exposure and plaudits it deserved? NO. We are simply light years away from what Sky and others believe are a genuine news article.
I see from all the online papers today - the only mention of Balotelli, was the reference in the Mail, comparing his 'elbow' to Rooneys blatant assault.
Oh well............obviously United have to be highlighted in our 3-0 win over Villa.
The goal? As good a finish a Rooney's IMO..............and harder to hit and control a ball that has bounced and is on the way up.
Great goal..................lets hope he keeps it up.
