Fernandinho next season

Fernandinho next season
He got into the Brazilian team because he was good enough (not saying much when the competition is Paulhino). He was a butcher against Colombia. And now he's been part of the biggest proper beating in world cup history. Do you reckon he'll be mentally tough enough for us next season?
With the big cry baby Yaya's future up in the air, I'm a little more concerned about that area of midfield, though I am more confident with Fernando behind Yaya and Fernandinho.
We can't really afford to lose Yaya and for Fernandinho's head to be all over the place.

I think he'll be fine. It wouldn't have made a damn bit of difference if Fernandinho had the best game he'd ever played....as a collective, the team were awful and Scolari got his tactics all wrong.
We've seen Brazil for what they are....awful up front, no pace out wide, terrible defence and a crap keeper.
They were just found out when up against a very good Germany team.
It'll be forgotten about in a month or two when they are in pre-season, tours and getting ready for the season.

The Brazilian team of 1950 are still haunted by what happened to them. I don't think it will be forgotten that easily.

I would be more concerned if it was Luiz that was coming back to us!

They were lucky with some of the refs decisions, had the nation on their side and some good draws. Apart from that first game, they were bang average.
If they played like that in Europe and not home soil/weather etc, they would have struggled to get through the group.
When was the last time you saw a Brazil team with a forward line as inept as this one, with Jo and Fred as your strikers and Hulk as a right winger?
David Luiz as CB?? Great free-kick, but the kid can't defend for toffee. Marcello is a liability when he goes forward (remind you of someone?), Alves is vastly over-rated and only for the fact he plays in Spain with Barca, he has the likes of Pique, Mascherano cover for him.
They have some very good MF's in Fernandinho, Neymar, Oscar....but if in front and behind them they are shit...a MF can't win the game on it's own.
As for 1950, the one big difference is that 95% of the Brazil squad play in Europe, so are not going to be constantly bombarded, jeered by their own clubs fans. May be a bit different when they pull on the yellow shirt next time they play in Brazil.

Jazinho (sp) the 70's Brazillian legend said much the same. He reckons they are too interested in the money these days and playing in Europe to earns millions.
