Sterling must definitely want to leave LFC

Looks like another BS story to me.

Tbh, i'd be amazed if Liverpool offered that amount....if they did, i can't see him turning it down.

For me....the story will be pretty much spot on. Neil Ashton is a decent journalist and rarely sensationalises his stories.

Liverpool haven't offered him £180k p/w though. The figure is supposed to be £100k with his advisors holding out for £140K p/w. If Liverpool don't get CL though, he may well move on as everyone else may well pull away again with the CL money (around £80M-£100M) and he may believe that getting CL with Liverpool is very very difficult again.

If we want him, just offer Liverpool £40M+£1 and offer him £150k p/w. He should want to come for that money, and CL football, and then we can negotiate the transfer fee with Liverpool.

All we do know is that an offer of £100k pw has been on the table for a couple of weeks and was rejected.

I don't even think his advisor has mentioned £140k pw...and why would he? They may get an offer from LFC that makes him their highest player on £150k pw.

Neil Ashton's piece says even IF he was to be offered £180k pw, he would reject it, which was the point of my post....it's not about figures, it's potentially about Sterling wanting to leave LFC (and no doubt knowing he could get in excess of £150k pw at a club like City or Arsenal).
