And now he doesn't want to leave

When he does well for us, he makes all kinds of noises to leave. Now he's playing shite and tell him he'll be shown the door at the end of the season, he wont go without a fight......he's a strange fella this one .

No-one can afford him. So where can he go?

Re: And now he doesn't want to leave
There's always a way to get people to leave Dawg.
Pay them off
Pay part of the wages
Reduce the transfer fee, so they can afford his wages
Let them leave on a free, so they can afford his wages
.....etc, etc.
I guess with the wages he's currently on, City may have to come to some kind of compromise on the fee....it may just come down to how much City really do want to get rid of him though.
With this scenario in mind, quite alot of clubs out there could afford him.

Re: And now he doesn't want to leave
There was talk of Inter offering him a 5yr deal on lower money to make it work for them. He is unlikely to go for that when he can keep mugging us for two years and then retire (some say he's retired already!) to the US or Middle East on big bucks for another two or three years.

Re: And now he doesn't want to leave
TLMLF making noises again? There's no surprise.
If we don't get rid in the summer - then:
1. We'll be stuck with him for the next 2 years.
2. He's finished now, so how much influence will he be next season? Less than this one.
3. If he stays, he'll just be taking the place of a young player who'll give us more energy - as 'he' always gets a starting place.
4. Our transfer spend will be less - which may mean having to get rid of a player that we may not have thought about.
5. After next season - or the season after, he'll be worth nothing, so do whatever we have to do to get him off the wage bill and get some money in for him.
6. It shows the other players that you can come to a club, get paid vast sums of money - and if you can't be arsed to play for the shirt, you'll still get picked and still receive your ridiculous wage each week.
Cheeky bastard!

Re: And now he doesn't want to leave
Paris would be the logical place as they could afford his wages & he has stated previously it would be an honor to play for them. I honestly believe they make these sort of noises to get interest in them when they are about to leave. Prior to us buying him weeks & weeks went by with him saying i'm happy at Barca & I will fight for my place etc etc when all the time he knew he was leaving. I think it is just to ensure the buying club offer the maximum.

Re: And now he doesn't want to leave
PSG really do need to be careful of FFP unlike us to an extent.
They'll have to get rid of some of their stars - Cavanni, Thiago Silva in the summer, which is already rumoured - so maybe a fee can be agreed...and the wages shouldn't be an issue.
Even if we got £20m I'd be over-joyed!

Re: And now he doesn't want to leave
I'm not sure what PSG's revenue is like after you strip out that absurd sponsorship deal. £200M a year WTF. But maybe UEFA will let them keep a decent chunk of it seeing as it is Paris (rather than Manchester). They could easily offload a couple of players if they really wanted Yaya.

Trouble is if he does stay and he has this clause that we all suspect, we are well and truly fucked. He has to play too.

Re: And now he doesn't want to leave
He'll be gone before next season. It's all bollocks, cos he's never going to come out and say "yeah, I'm playing shite so I want to leave"!
This way he can be moved on and he'll be able to claim he's always been loyal to a club, never reneged on a contract, never wanted to leave, the club forced him out etc etc.
And he will be able to carry on deluding himself that he is adored by the fans at City, and that he was the best player we ever had.
The man and his rampant ego will be in sunnier climes next season - I'd put my mortgage on it.

I really hope he goes now. It'll free up bags of cash for new players.
