12:30 press conference. Damn it...when I heard he was 8/1. Now the same website has him at 2/1!!!

Question we have to ask ourselves is....Would Klopp be able to attract the "big" names to City?

He's shot his load though with the poor seasons after their stellar ones.

Not my first choice but infinitely better than the "Engineer" duffer in charge now.

Trouble is we get a bit lost sometimes and maybe we aren't as top drawer as we think we are?   This probably is the best we can get at the moment.

I think he has more pulling power than Pellegrini. Remember it was only a couple of years ago that they were in the CL final.

He was not able to compete with bayern in so much as keeping his star names such as  goetze & Lewandowski. Looks as though Hummels will be off to United, Definitely worth a punt on Reus & Gundogan allthough the latters injury problems have been well documented. Subotic maybe a good shout.

Leo the point I was trying to make is that someone had put up that klopp's bubble had burst & he was a manager who had been found out after the good start to his career & who wouldn't' able to attract the big names we would be after. It was referenced that before Dortmund he had coached Mainz for 7 years. I said in a post last week if Pellegrini was to leave or be sacked  I could see us going for Klopp or Koeman as they would be the best of the bunch that we could entice. I did not believe that Pep or Ancelotti would leave their clubs so they were non starters.

I think it's more important to get Dzeko,cake boy and kolorov out of the club as a first priority.
As much as I'm hardly enamoured with the engineer (wtf:)),it wouldn't be the end of the world if he's still in charge next season so long as we know there is a plan in place,ie Patrick stepping up as the no2 to learn the ropes.

Yes, Oz, I was agreeing with you. Klopp didn't become a bad manager, he had bad calls thrust upon him which, I suspect, is the reason he's leaving. The point I was making is that NO manager was going to be able to do anything with that mess.

It wouldn't be the end of the world PPLF but is it worth giving MP up to 200 million to spend when his stubbornness, piss poor tactics, lack of motivational skills, blindness to players form, ridiculous substitutions etc etc... have ensured this season has been a woefully inadequate one despite being given a transfer pot that still dwarfs all but 1 or 2 in the PL

I agree TMG. We could buy Messi, Bale and Pogba and this fool would probably drop Pogba for TLMLF!

I wouldn't trust him to manage or motivate £200m worth of new players next season.

A dip in form is one thing that most teams go through - Bayern, Real, Barca and Chelsea have gone through slumps in form...the thing is, we're not in a slump like last season - we've won 6 out of 18 games! That's relegation form...and down to piss poor tactics, poor player management and a stubbornness in his system.

An advantage of getting Jurgen Klopp is that if he comes to us, we'll be in the box seat to sign his brother, Klippity.
