Eden Hazard....is he that good?

Sorry - I just don't see it. He's a good player, but to put him anywhere near the class of Ronaldo and Messi for me, is just laughable.

I've watched him quite a few times this season - and there's been many games where he was very average. Granted, some games he was excellent, but you could say the same about George Boyd 

His goal tally isn't great either for somebody in the tier 1 bracket.

Lille - 36 goals in 147 games.

Chelsea - 36 goals in 101 games and he takes the penalties.

In 6 years playing for Belgium, he has 7 goals in 56 games.

I know Jose was probably trying to gee him up for today's game - but I do think the press have gone way over the top with Hazard. Yes, I'd love him at City - but I'd love Sanchez to be with us equally as much.

If there's one player in the PL I'd have at City, it'd be Hazard....I think he's top drawer. That said, he's definitely not in the class of Ronaldo n Messi.

He's not as good as Messi or Ronaldo yet. Probably won;t ever be as good as them. Having said that, we'd have won the title with him in our side.

I don't think we would have. 

We've had far too many players who have played below par this season, especially in the defensive parts of our game.

Hazards 13 goals would have contributed for sure, but we've got the current top PL scorer in Aguero on 21.

It's not his goals, but his assists. He takes 2 players away from others so they have more space. He creates loads more chances than, say, Navas. he takes men on and gets past them.

I understand that, but our problem has been in our defensive frailties.

As mentioned - we've had 60-70% possession most games, yet concede stupid goals.

Yes, of course he would have definitely have improved us, without a shadow of a doubt...but I reckon with someone like John Terry or Matic/Ivanovich - we'd have had a much better season and possibly have won the league.

I think Hazard is top drawer too.  Best in the Prem by a mile.

Really? If you could choose just one player in the PL out of any of the teams, including us - you think Hazard would be the No.1 pick?

We all have our opinions, but I'd take Aguero over Hazard every day of the week.

I believe there are more Hazards out there. Our scouting network needs to search harder for the hidden gems of World football.

Well, we've been linked with this Firmino, so maybe they are trying to unearth a new Hazard/Oscar.

Agree though - we should be trying to sign quite a few players, send them on loan and see how they do. Chelsea's model seems to have worked - but as long as we make sure our academy players are giving a chance at some point.

Aguero is ours right now - so wasn't including him - just think he's the best out there - he's brilliant.
