VILLA CLOSE IN ON RICHARDS
We told you earlier that Sky Bet had suspended betting on Micah Richards joining Aston Villa and the move is edging ever closer.
The Manchester City defender's contract expires at the end of June and is set to join Tim Sherwood at Villa Park on a free transfer having spent last season on loan at Fiorentina.
However, after his European adventure the 26-year-old now looks likely to start ahead slightly closer to home.

He was born in Birmingham but seemed to have spent his formative years in Leeds.
