Newcastle - Live Thread
Team is out, Sagna probably our best player from midweek rested! Nice one MP.

Yes but at the expense of a form player? I would have had him on the bench again.

Great ball from David. Great run from Fernandinho. Easy for Sergio. But we don't deserve to be level. We've had some decent chances though.

Very lucky to be level but going forward we should blast them off the park! 4 goals 2nd half!

Re: Newcastle - Live Thread
This is a poor watch. The defence is dire and we don't even have Sagna as a high point. The Ferdy twins have been average. Sterling is doing nothing. KdB is too slow. Serge is being too greedy. Silva isn't making enough impact. Only Joe is blameless in this shitfest. Even the ref is crap.
And the worst bit is Sunderland, who are fucking awful, are stuffing the hammers.
I wish I'd stayed in bed...

Re: Newcastle - Live Thread
Navas is warming up on the pitch so I expect him to be on for the 2nd half, hopefully in place of john inman whose playing on the left wing

Re: Newcastle - Live Thread
Silva was brilliant first half and same 2nd half. I thought KdB was very good first half, creating good chances. Sterling invisible, except for committing fouls when he loses the ball.

Has the light switch been flicked? Doesn't matter about the defending if you can score 10 !!

Re: Newcastle - Live Thread
Night and day that. The manager made the right change at half time, taking Sterling off for Navas and switching wings. Much, much better. Navas have is more space and KdB was miles better on the left.
Now for Arsenal to batter the rags and we're top again.

We are lucky not to concede two or three in the first half and the manager is a genius!!!

Re: Newcastle - Live Thread
But we didn't did we and scored another 5 - so good substitutions - rested Aguero and Silva - and didn't concede anymore.

It must have been the manager's genius that stopped us from conceding...

I went yesterday and it was plain to see that the substitution made all the difference. Sterling was absolutely woeful and should struggle to start next week after that inept display.
Navas offered the width we'd been crying out for and I personally thought he played really well. KdB looked a different player on the left too and his goal (from Navas' pass) was pure class. Silva still gets us ticking and without him in the team you can see why we stuggle without him...he really is pure class.
As regards Sergio, where do you start, this fella is head and shoulders above everyone else in the PL...he just seems to know where the ball's going to be played and gets there. Brilliant effort once again from this man.

Re: Newcastle - Live Thread
I guess Pellegrini was just lucky eh hopefully gave a few a bollocking @ half time changed it around & looked far better 2nd half. Thought mango had a good game at the back despite us being all over the place a couple of crucial tackles & timely interceptions. Stupid booking though 6-1 up 2 mins left no need. Also thought both Fernando & fernandinho looked pretty solid, much better together than last season.
