Actually, old news, though I'm not shooting the messenger.

Unless Madrid and Barca have new sources of income, both Utd and City could overtake them within two years. In fact, I expect Utd. to sail past them next year as the Adidas deal kicks in as well as being back in the CL with the extra money that will bring this year.

Just that new CL deal should help us leapfrog Bayern and PSG comfortably and we have our extra seats too.

And next season the new PL tv deal kicks in and we'll be alongside Barca and Madrid then.

That's assuming the rags make the CL this year - currently sixth in the league, so no guarantees.

Utd. are getting the CL money this season after missing out last season. The tv money for that, together with gate receipts for the CL and EL, should be worth £40M-£50M. Add that to the current numbers and they are there with Madrid and Barca.
