Re: Ian Lawlor - gets tips of Joe Hart
He can't be faulted upto now blue and long may it continue. Speaking regularly to Joe n Shay can only help his development, hopefully if all goes well he'll be Citys keeper in the coming years. He's certainly replicating the brilliant Nick Pope who we had on loan from Charlton last season thus far.
Can't wait for todays game, I wonder if this crappy weather could help us make it a bit more of an even game.....fingers crossed we can cause an upset.
Apparently we're expecting a decent crowd (by our standards) of around 8000, with 2500 from Hull....hope it's more tbh.
Ever the optimist 2-1 to the Shakers (Leon with both).

Bollocks.
Game changed in the space of a minute. We had a goal wrongly disallowed for offside, they go straight up the other end and get the most generous of penalties....from a dive that Ashley Young would have been proud of.
The game was very even upto that point, but allbut ended as a contest from then on.
All without our Star striker too, apparently Leon's in talks with Blackburn...bar stewards.

Yeah we did...I guess they just had that extra bit of quality.
Hope City slap um in the next round now.

Even though he let in a few, did Lawlor have a decent game?

Yeah he did. Pulled off a good one on one save when Myler was clean through for the 1st goal. His handling and kicking good again, had no chance with any of the goals. Did what you'd expect him too and did it well.
