Loserpool after Fernando
LIVERPOOL are plotting to hijack Porto’s bid for Fernando.
But they will only go as far as £10 million to try to lure the Manchester City midfielder to Anfield instead of going back to Portugal.
Fernando’s former club reckon he will become available this summer when Pep Guardiola takes over as City boss.
But Kop boss Jurgen Klopp is already planning his overhaul of the Liverpool squad for the summer and has been monitoring the situation with Fernando.
German Klopp wants to get his transfer shopping done as early as possible to get a settled squad in place for his first full pre-season.
Fernando, 28, has started three of the last four City games but is still regarded as a fringe player at the Etihad.
And Guardiola is poised to make sweeping changes to the squad when he assumes control at the end of this season.
Porto won the Europa League with Porto before moving to City two years ago.
Liverpool have been linked with a move for Arsenal midfielder Alex Oxlaide-Chamberlain but Gunners boss Arsene Wenger has dropped strong hints that he sees the player staying put with them.
News of that and Porto’s interest in Fernando could prompt Klopp to step up his interest in City’s Brazilian.

i'd let him go but i'd be interested to see what porto are offering? after all they know the player well & sold him to us. Interesting to see what valuation they put on him, Especially if it becomes an auction between them & Liverpool.
