City vs Stoke - Live Thread
A must win game to put added pressure on Arsenal and those below us.
From the managers press conference, it's difficult to work out whether he will rest some players. He gave conflicting messages.
The local press were almost pushing him to rest Aguero...constantly saying "he looked tired against Newcastle, will you risk him against Stoke to ensure he doesn't get injured?"
Why ffs....we saw what performances we put in when he dicks about with the team!
Nasri's out, Kompany's trained all week, Clichy is fit again, I think Sagna is fit, Silva's back....so no excuse to start resting a lot players for today. Strongest team for me.
Hart
Sagna, Otamendi, Mangala, Clichy
Fernando, Fernandinho
Navas, KDB, Silva
Aguero

Some stats from the Newcastle game.
Our passing was 10% down from normal.
KDB now makes a key pass, assist or scores every 23 minutes.
If we could have won, we would have the record for the most consecutive wins against a PL opposition - 13.
34 goals have been conceded this season, more than any of the top 4.

he just won't go with your team bluey. he wants Yaya to play and he'd like sterling and bony to get some time. wtf for I've no idea.

Subs: Caballero, Demichelis, Clichy, De Bruyne, Delph, Bony, Sterling
Good to see Kelechi getting game time, but FFS, that useless lazy twat retains his place!

Surprised Silva is starting
Obviously saving KdB Dino & Vinny
Still a pretty good side mind

No teams good when the lazy fucker is in it!
He needs to repay us with 2 goals and a screaming performance!

Surprised Silva gets the nod over Kevin, but he;s just come back from a long layoff and an injury could be round the corner (a la Nasri).
I don't mind Itchy starting. Sagna not even on the bench?

Stoke zero to play for and it showed against spuds on Monday. It's only the Hughes factor that might get them to up their game, but I can only see a comfortable 3-0 for us.

I don't see the reasoning behind playing Kompany for the full 90 against Newcastle and then leaving him out altogether today. Surely building him up with 20 minutes at Newcastle and then a good hard workout today would have been better.

Totally agree. It's just another bizarre decision by the manager....I've sort of given up hope. I can see another inept performance today...hope I'm wrong, I really do.

Flat, slow, poor.....I wonder why with the lazy twat starting?
He's given the ball 60% of the time he's had it. Wanker.

I want Kelechi to do well, but it's too congested up front as it always is with a 4-4-2...no width today whatsoever.
Fucking rubbish.

I don't think it's just Yaya that's causing this shitty performance

barely believable stat....we've lost more home games this season than in the last 4 season put together.

Re: City vs Stoke - Live Thread
Well done Kelechi....as BB says, how anyone in their right mind would select Bony over Kelechi is beyond me.
Sorry for keep harping on....but get that fucker off the pitch. Overweight, slow and ponderous.
Let's give Stoke a spanking now and get some confidence for Real. Bollocks to this 'save players in case of injury'...what will be will be. Goals, wins, performances create unity and confidence - which is what we need for the semi-final, not 'let's hope they all perform'.
