City vs Stoke - Live Thread
First topic message reminder :
A must win game to put added pressure on Arsenal and those below us.
From the managers press conference, it's difficult to work out whether he will rest some players. He gave conflicting messages.
The local press were almost pushing him to rest Aguero...constantly saying "he looked tired against Newcastle, will you risk him against Stoke to ensure he doesn't get injured?"
Why ffs....we saw what performances we put in when he dicks about with the team!
Nasri's out, Kompany's trained all week, Clichy is fit again, I think Sagna is fit, Silva's back....so no excuse to start resting a lot players for today. Strongest team for me.
Hart
Sagna, Otamendi, Mangala, Clichy
Fernando, Fernandinho
Navas, KDB, Silva
Aguero

even though he's made some basic mistakes, Itchy's effort and hard work more than make up for it.

What was the point in bringing DeM on
Surely would have been wiser to give Sterling 20 mins

Hopefully on both counts, but sorry we are such a better team without Yaya. I think he is fine though just protecting his reputation when he is not picked Tues, can say he is injured now.

Such a dramatic fucker.
Let's hope that takes the decision out of MP's hands for Tues.
We're so much better without him.
Well done Kelechi...you only did what we all know you can. MOTM as well...take note Bony Idle. That's how you position yourself and finish. Good pass from him though.
Thought Mangala was once again, excellent today with Otamendi.
Stick with them for Tues, even though we know he'll bring Vinny back. Delph looked lively when he came on....and again, thought Navas had a very good game.

Manga still can't pass the ball. That's his biggest downfall now. Ota still gets caught diving in or up the field with the ball, but they are a better bet than either with Kompany right now. The two F twins for Tuesday behind Navas, Kev and David, with Aguero up top.

Re: City vs Stoke - Live Thread
my only criticism today is the full backs really do leave our centre backs exposed. They go off on these runs to support the attack but do not appear fit enough to get back when the attack breaks down. Madrid will kill us on Tuesday if any out of Mango, Vinny or ota are playing make shift Full backs. Also special mention for Fernando another top performance from him to go with his recent appearances.

Perfect scenario yesterday.
Easy win.
Serge n Silva given a rest.
Kev not needed and rested.
Likewise Vince.
Yaya injured.
I was made up with how yesterday went and it should enable us to put out our strongest possible team for Tuesday...we can have no excuses.

Hopefully the Ladyboy will still be injured & Benzema went off injured yesterday but don't know if it was just precautionary or not

No way rags are getting maximum points, 3 of their 4 games have meaning and they aren't good enough to win them all. Leicester coping ok without Vardy today.

You just Know the lady boy injury is not serious , he was only left out as a precaution. Benzema on the other hand looks as though he will be missing. We could be without Toure
