Bradford Fire
Just read this on the Bury fc twitter page (i don't go on that often) and i see the Bradford City fire that killed 56 people was 11th May 1985.
One tweet i did like summed things up, it simply read:
"no clamour for minutes silence no demand for front page news just dignified respectful remembrance God bless the 56"
RIP!!!

Ditto. Some bad things happened in the 80s and, mostly, not the fault of fans.

It's interesting...I posted something on here about 18 months ago, from the Guardian - I think. It was about the investigation or lack or it with regards to this incident. It was a book that somebody had wrote, pointing out the discrepancies in the initial investigation, the dodgy coincidences with fires to the owners businesses.

Don't really want to rake up the past, but what does that mean Andy?blueboy wrote:the dodgy coincidences with fires to the owners businesses.

The owner at the time, owned lots of other businesses. In the previous number of years, there were suspicious fires at a number of his businesses when the company wasn't doing well, making a massive profit for him. Allegedly.
It was a good read. I've found this:

Re: Bradford Fire
Wow...i never knew that (or i'd forgotten).
"To quote a Los Angeles Police Department fire investigator in Blaze, the Forensics of Fire by Nicholas Faith: ‘It’s rare to have a coincidence. If we start having multiple coincidences then it’s not a coincidence.’ It is clear to me that at Bradford, with Stafford Heginbotham in charge, there was a mountain of coincidence”
Makes you think doesn't it.

Re: Bradford Fire
Yeah seeing as tho Hillsboro has gone on & is still going on for years with no end of investigations surely the Bradford 56 deserve the same treatment
