Playing without the spine

We used to have a spine in our team that we always hoped was ever present.

Hart
Kompany
Toure
Silva
Aguero

Against Bournemouth, none of them played, yet we won at a canter. Even last season, our troops would start games a few % points below the required level if they saw any of these names missing. Manager after manager would play them at all costs. They were hardly ever dropped.

Now we've moved on. Hart has already gone, Kompany didn't get through his first game of the season and Toure won't say sorry. Silva is injured and AGuero suspended yet we keep on winning.

That era has gone. We've moved on. And we're much better for it.

That's our new spine...but agree, it could easily be

Think we have to accept that Vinny and Toure aren't gonna be playing anymore. Serge n Silva will always be missing for a few games, but we have the players now to cope when they're not available.

As blue says, we have a new spine now....time and players move on.
