Its about time itchy got a start plus Aguero was playing half injured in the internationals. Rather he started against Barca. Pep is all about surprising line ups he must have spotted a weakness in Everton's play that can be exploited by overloading the mid field. Very attacking line up should be interesting

Well, lots of FF teams are under pressure already with Serge on the bench. He'll come on or a few minutes at the end, not score, get booked and bag us no points whatsoever.

There was talk early this week of Fernandinho playing RB.

Surprised Nolito isn't playing and surprised KdB is.

Exactly. I just don't get Nolito not playing and risking KDB....then going to a back 3 and dropping Aguero. It's totally bizarre and something we'd slate Pellegrini over if we lose.

Guess we have to trust him - I think I'd rather Fernandinho at RB than a 3.

I think Ferna will play RB, with Gundogan in front of the defence and Silva and KdB ahead of him, Sane and Sterling out wide with Itchy up top. Hope he doesn't play Sterling on the left as Sane hasn't done enough to get in ahead of Nolito for me and I've liked Raheem on the right wing.

we've played very well, but no killer punch. ref going easy on the everton players as i think there should have been 2-3 yellow cards. terrible tackle on sterling by coleman, penalty by jags - you can't trip someone up in the bx and avoid a card really, and an attempt to stop a quick free kick.

Great work up to the penalty box, then the passing has been shite.

Kelechi has been awful....get Aguero on at HT.

KDB? Tut tut.

Think Sane has been excellent - really skillful and worked really hard to win the ball back.

Also think Coleman is lucky to be on the pitch after that tackle on Sterling.

All in all...the new formation is working well, but Everton will surely try and press us more or pump more big balls over the top, as there's always a mistake in the defenders.

Get Kun on and get these 3 points!!

This side looks very well balanced, with KdB, Sane, Sterling and Silva all moving around well. Everton don't know what to do with us, so they're parking the bus and pumping it up to Lukaku. I was thinking a back three was risky, but up to now we're holding up well enough.

Yeah, but they've had 2 breaks, but for a poor ball, they could have been in 3 v 3. Otamendi always tries to win 'every' single header and on occasions, he's going to miss the header and Lukaku or Bolasie will be in behind him....sometimes, he just's needs to hold them up and not try to win everything.
