Getting a bit tasty. Huge 2 points dropped if this stays as it is.

regardless of how well we've played, we've been found wanting up front again. you can't go around missing two penalties.

Otamendi always tries to win 'every' single header and on occasions, he's going to miss the header and Lukaku or Bolasie will be in behind him....sometimes, he just's needs to hold them up and not try to win everything.
Wasn't him, but I called it at HT.

KDB for the pens now too. Serg has missed 3 this season.
WBA did us a favour, but 2 points dropped there.
Shooting practice Pep

penalties along the floor and into the bottom corner. simple. do it every time and you score nearly every time.

Re: City v Everton - Live Thread
A game we should've been out of sight in.
You can't blame Pep for this....2, yes 2 penalties missed - both of them shite penalties.
Oh, and their keeper made a worldy from KDB.
However, the final pass, apart from the cross by Silva for Nolito's goal, was just diabolical all game.
Aguero did fuck all when he came on...he was poor.
Thought Sterling and Silva did well today....Sane in the first half, but Gundogan is a little disappointing so far. He plays the safe ball every single time - offering little penetrating passes.
KDB did well to last so long after his injury.
Spuds got a point in the end, Arsenal won so we hang on by GD tonight.
Still think we need another striker - a top class one in Griezman or Lewandowski.
Sergio has looked like he's lost his confidence for the past 3 games....and Kelechi, we all love him, but he's nowhere near the finished player to be starting in the PL...his touch is too poor and he lacks movement.

That's 3 games without a win. Still we've only got Barcelona in the next game

Re: City v Everton - Live Thread
The final ball is the problem...we've lacked sharp movement in the box and then the ball hasn't been great. It'll click...it just hasn't in the past 3 games. In any other game where you have 2 pens, you'd 99% of the time score at least one of them....so I'm not overly concerned, but let's hope our shooting and passing around the box clicks against Barca, as they aren't playing great football at the moment.
I'd still like another striker though in Jan if possible....put some pressure on Sergio, as he knows, he'll always be selected ahead of Kelechi right now, if fit and not tired from an International break.

Thought Everton defended really well,Barry excellent in front of them but I thought we were very predictable in our play
Kelechi still not ready to be starting games for me
Only thing to make you smile about today is Blistering having Sergio as triple captain

The one thing that winds me up ( apart from Everton Time wasting 2 and a half mins out of the 4 added on was the amount of times we got the ball out wide but could not get a cross passed the 1st man or we would get the rebound & contrive to kick it out. Every loose ball in the box seemed to find a yellow shirt, & to be fair I thought Gundogan was doing ok the main problem was Everton's 9 & 10 men behind the ball so when we go forward passing through the midfield we do not seem to have enough body's in the central forward positions especially as Sterling & Sane were hugging the touchline. All in all a good performance but as already stated we need some penalty practice.
One other observation was that towards the end of the game Stones & Otamendi really did play some lazy balls out from the back which nearly put us in trouble. Clichy bailed us out on a number of occasions. Definitely feels like 2 points dropped though.

Don't know what happened to sane. oviedo couldn't handle him and he got behind a few times. then he stopped trying to take him on or took too long, allowing another defender to get back and double team him. I think raheem slowed things down, at times, too.
when we passed it quickly, we looked dangerous but they always had a few more men in the box than us.
Pep, in his presser, indicated that he didn't have the men he needed so we will see some major additions in the summer. maybe even in January if we don't pick up.

Sane was excellent up to the 38th minute, when he swapped sides with Sterling. Likewise, Sterling was doing a good job on the left until he swapped in the first half. Thought Sterling was far better when he went back on the right in the second half after Nolito came on.
But as mentioned, from all the players today, the final ball was poor-looking, but Everton had 9 men in the box.
I just wished we'd taken one of the two pens, then it wouldn't have mattered...we got the pens, then wasted them - and their keeper made a fantastic save off KDB's shot....otherwise, it'd be a contender for goal of the season.
