This energy is what we need to show from the first minute. In all games.

Sterling does what I've wanted Sane to do. Go for it.

It's not blind faith....we all thought top 4 at the beginning of the season and a year under Pep, would be needed for him to impose his style on the team and get the players he wants.
And the 2 players I've stuck up for, score both goals.
Well done Raheem.....

Yeah, but you've been sticking up for them all season. That's Sane's first goal (after maybe 600+ minutes?) and Raheem's first goal in 9 games?

You've not been bigging up their goal scoring exploits the last half dozen games though...

And I've supported Sterling too. He's been in my FF team most of the season too.

We weren't poor in the first half. Just our defence was. 2nd half we were magnificent. Arsenal were battered for pretty much 50 minutes.

I was speaking with my brother in law today (Utd fan) and told him that City were still the best team in the league. We just can't defend for toffee.

Best 2nd half performance for a long time, 1st half was as bad as the game at Leicester.

Difference between you and me Dawg.....is that I don't determine a player to be a success or failure, especially wingers, by how many goals they score.
I'm sure Raheem's assists and goals have been right up there with his LFC season. As for Sane, I've always said he's young and hardly had a run in the team. 600+ mins means nothing if it's broken down to 70% of those minutes are as a sub, or 20-30 minutes here and there. He's been given a chance today and played well. Will he score next time he plays? Probably not, but I'm not going to judge him until he's regularly in the team....give him 10 games on the run, and we'll all be able to judge him - and you may be right.....or wrong.

We are heading in the right direction. Imagine what we'd be like with Pep's hand picked defence!
No Kun, Vinny, Gundogan or Fernandinho, and we still batter Arsenal. Superb lads

Re: City v Arsenal - Live Thread
well that was worth reading now I finally have a game to watch that I am actually looking forward too. Come to think of it I still have the 2nd half of the Watford game to watch. Glad to see the monkey of sane's back. He is a great talent as I have been saying since the day I heard we were going after him as Blue says time & games is what he needs, sterling is still very much awork in progress but he has come on leaps & bounds from last season & is really beginning to show his 1st season Liverpool form (based on what I read tonight) as well as the games I have seen. Next up Hull away with the returning Fernandinho.

Re: City v Arsenal - Live Thread
Thought Silva was immense tonight. Be interesting to see the distance he covered, especially in that 2nd half.
Look, I don't want to get into an argument with anyone on here about the merits of Sane, Sterling etc....we all have our own opinions.
Tonight, Sterling and Sane did really well. I'm more for calling out experienced players when they don't give 100%... and that's been KDB and Silva on occasions this season - both were magnificent today.

Re: City v Arsenal - Live Thread
Today is why we won the first 10 games. Forwards on song.
I'm not bothered with any forward, it's all about that defence. The fact all the media rumours say no more Jan signings after Jesus. Now that does worry me big time.

When our MF and forwards run another team ragged, our defence only gas to be ok for us to win the game. They weren't tested 2nd half because of what was happening at the other end.

You've not bigged up their goals because they haven't scored any for ages (or at all) until today. . You mentioned them today (but their goals don't reflect how you determine wingers remember?) because of the......goals they scored!!! They vindicated your support because of the goals they scored
By the way, you can keep on about Sane's 70% games as subs or 20 mins here or there like you did maybe a week or two ago. If you want, you can look at the ACTUAL stats I put up which you decided to ignore last time.

But it's all good in the end. We played brilliantly in the 2nd half and fully deserved the win. Even though our defence in the first half wanted to make it tough for us.

I never big up their goals....that's the point Dawg. Keep up. They're wingers.
