City support......please help.
https://www.gofundme.com/mancity-ballboy-elliott-fernandez
One thing I have been doing this week is this...I was contacted by a friend, who's best friends son is the lad in this link, asking for help. I remember seeing him in an MCFC video a while back, but she asked as Blue, is there anything I could do to help.
On Monday evening, the page had £4k. In the evening, I tweeted Steven and Walter at BMR TV, Jason Manford, Sergio Aguero, Vinny, Ferran Sorriano, Sagna, Viera, City Watch etc.....asking for them to retweet the gofundme page, as he's took a turn for the worse and the only treatment left for him is in Germany.
They need £100k. Walter and Steven retweeted and donated immediately and Tuesday morning, the page had gone up to £14k. Within the next 12 hours it had gone up to £20k.
As of now, the fund is sitting at just under £27k....and has suddenly come to a halt. I've retweeted everyone again asking for them to keep up the media interest to get this to £100k for his treatment and even asked Steven if he'd be willing to do a Vlog appeal on his channel - Esteemed Kompany (no pressure now Steven!!).
I see the MEN have also run an update on his story, so please, if anyone can donate anything or get this wider coverage, it'd be appreciated. I'm surprised more hasn't been done for him by MCFC.....£75k is peanuts to them. A whip round in the dressing room would get this is no time and possibly save Elliott's life.

Re: City support......please help.
Cheers Dawg.
Just sent a long and numerous Tweet to Ferran Soriano, explaining that this kid is a City fan and losing time to save his life.
Members of the general public have given £20, probably a 5th of their weekly salary - what would a 5th of a players salary do to help this kid and how much would they miss it?
The appeal is stalling after a few days, which we did really well, so we need to keep up the media interest.
£75k still needed....to possibly save a kids life and we read of these £615k pw Chinese deals? It's pretty sickening when you put it into perspective.
Appreciate all of your help.

Looking at the story, I remember reading about him last year. Very tough for all the family and the lad. Let's hope for the best.

The fundraising had risen to £33k as well, but sadly too late.

Re: City support......please help.
This is very sad news.
Bluey, I'm sure Elliott's family appreciate your efforts, as do I, and I'm saddened that your efforts were ultimately in vain. I guess it's very cold comfort, but at least you tried.
If the players and staff had all chipped in a little bit each, instead of just tweeting, they'd have had that covered. And it's not like this lad is just some kid either, he was technically an employee.
Still, too late to be annoyed about it now, it's not going to help anyone.
RIP Elliott.
