City v Swansea Live Thread
First topic message reminder :
So....I think the big questions are: will Sergio and Bravo start?
For me, I'd stick with the same forward line and save Sergio for the 2nd half and Monaco. Give him 45 mins. It'll be hard to drop the 3 kids up front, especially after their performances lately, but I'd definitely give Sergio 45 mins.
However, we know what Pep's like...he likes to rotate and give everyone a chance, so the team for me will be:
Willy
Zaba, Vinny, Otamendi, Clichy
Fernandinho, Silva
KDB
Sterling, Gabriel, Sane

Re: City v Swansea Live Thread
It's a massive 3 points right now. The squad would be really down if it had ended 1-1. I bet they re jumping around in the changing room now.
Yaya certainly looked tired at the end with some poor passes. Ironically, it was from one of his poor passes that we ended up scoring.
We stopped using the wings as much in the 2nd half. Maybe Swansea didn't let us and they did seem to push a little higher to press us.
When they scored, they dropped back and invited pressure.
But we could so easily have lost that at the end instead of winning it.

that cityitis feeling just doesn't go away They really put us fans thru the ringer in the 2nd half. schmeichel snr & shearer both said Swansea goal should have been given offside, however the ref upstairs who they did not name said the goal was legit???? go figure?
Jesus got on the end of a cross OUR SAVIOUR!!!!!!!

Yeah, just make top 4 ours, beat hudds and monaco and that's not too bad for Pep's first season.

I'll be happy if it's 0-0 in the utd game. Everton aren't that far away from top 4. a really good finish to the season could see them overtake utd and liverpool. now that would be funny.

United are absolute garbage....£89m for Pogba. He's fucking embarrassing. If he was at City and producing what he does, when he posts all those embarrassing dance/dab videos he does with Lingard.......what a tw*t. (is that ok?)

The word you are looking for is twat. He's pretty useless for them. At the moment, glad we didn't get him. Yaya has another season left in him and I think we'll give him a 12 month contract if he tales reduced wages.

The Leicester players want a twatting.....they're a disgrace.

Happy to take the plaudits, get their big contracts, free BMW's.....I feel sorry for Ranieri. He's too good for this bunch of mercenaries. They clearly don't want to give what they gave last season. They've only lost 1 player in Kante, as good as he is, but some of the players like Vardy, Drinkwater etc, look like they couldn't give a shit.
Shameful. Ranieri must think "fuck it, I'm off".....why would he want to tarnish his reputation with players not giving 100%?

It's a fine line between us being delighted and us being hacked off. With a minute to go I was moaning about all the chances we missed & why didn't Pep make changes ealier & typical City had blown it again. Then Jesus gets the winner & those things fade away

It was a worry the way we seemed to just run out of energy.
Their goal was clearly offside. I know we got away with one when Silva could have been given offside against Arsenal, but this was different. The shot came from behind their striker and he was definitely blocking the view of Willy....but, we managed to dig deep and got the winner.
The first half though....wow, simply stunning football.

Re: City v Swansea Live Thread
We are simply the best, most pretty football playing team in this league by a country mile. But we can't keep it going for long enough to close out games early and then coast the remainder.
But we should keep trying to blow teams way the way we've done to quite a few this season.

and then every time we do, it's always because the opposition didn't turn up and were really poor..
followed by the next sentence out of every pundits mouth that there are no easy games in the premier league...
