Team vs Burnely
Bloody freezing today with what could be some disruptive windy weather. Burnley have done well away from home, picking up 8 points at Everton, Liverpool, Spurs and Chelsea so they aren't push overs.
Today's team probably depends on how fit the players are etc. but I'd want as many as possible to stay the same. Maybe Aguero plays instead of Jesus or Sane.

I'm thinking we need some team rotation for fresh legs. DSilva took a knock in the last game so I would put BSilva in for him. I doubt hell make this many changes till Tuesday, but just thought I'd throw it out there.

I think Sane was making tired choices the other night so he is first on the rest list...

Sane lost the ball alot & slipped over 3 times in the opposition half (from memory) I'm not knocking him he does a job against stubborn defences, but on form hes the one to go.

Still don’t understand why Toure takes up a place on the bench that could be given to one of the young lads!

Niggly at the end of the first half. I’d probably be tempted to swap sterling for sane. He could easily get a second yella

Deserved lead. Had a couple of chances for 2-0. Burnley are, as expected, very dogged and are working very hard. But we’ve always got a man free, just need to find him

Re: Team vs Burnely
I'd rather bring on Sterling for Bernie. We're doing nothing down the right and he's offering nothing and just slowing play down. Like another player we used to have...
I knew we'd struggle against Burnley's defense, they aren't afraid to stand in front of the ball, which will mean we need to be more cute in front of goal.
I think we're lucky to be ahead here. We don't look as impressive as we have in recent weeks, we're not breaking them down, and we were very lucky not to concede near the end of the first half. Hopefully the second half will be better.
Oooh, and the rags are two down at Huddersfield

One of the most difficult games so far this season, but at the end of the day you can't argue with a 3-0 score line.

Horrible weather and, in my eyes at least, a horribly negative game from Burnley. Having said that, we could have had 5 or 6 at the end

Re: Team vs Burnely
Bloody hell, Burnley were well organised. Didn't cause too many problems, apart from one or two moments of dicking around with the ball at the back....but more workman-like than scintillating.
Thought Bernardo offered very little, apart from the chance he should have scored in the first half....but did play much better when switched to the middle. More players get some rest, which is good. Sergio looked a little off the pace which is to be expected, but great to video is record equalling penalty.
Had some great seats in 221....but fuck me, got absolutely drenched waiting for the tram for 45 mins. Got into Victoria, then got soaked again walking to Mowgli in the Corn Exchange!
My iPhone got so wet in my pocket, it just gave up the ghost and is now sat in a bag of rice!
Anyway, great to be 5 points clear. Great the rags got beat. Great the pundits who all still believe that Jose will win the league with negative football are going to be proven wrong....
Here's the video SB.

Cheers for the highlights. Just about managed to follow the game out here. Far too many rag adverts on buildings in Bangkok for me, but now down south.

Thought the result was good considering we really didn't hit the giddy heights of previous weeks. However after a testing game in midweek and a weekend win over a workman like team then I will gladly take it. A few players were not at their best.
The weekend just got sweeter when I saw The Huddersfield result.
Cue Carrick fan rant... It was a beauty looked like he,s had his head shaved with a broken bottle. Needless to say the text on service made it even funnier.
