Reading that article, it's almost like Barca want someone to stump up this frankly ludicrous sum. Either that or they're goading one of the big players to wander into the stern gaze of Sauron. Er, I mean, FFP.  It'd certainly please them to see us or PSG hamstrung in the CL.

But to answer your question: No, I don't. And even if I did, he's not worth that much. Christ, you could buy PL team for that and still have some change to buy a couple of players.

If Messi was ever gonna come to City it would have happened by now. His best mate, King Sergio, couldn't persuade him a couple of years ago, so he's never gonna Grace the Etihad turf now.

That much on a thirty year old is ludicrous no matter how good. What chance of recouping that in sponsorship etc. If a chance then worth it but somehow I think not.

Recoup it? We'd recoup it in a couple of weeks if we follow the United plan....they claim they made most of Sanchez's salary in a couple of weeks through shirt sales!!!
