Think I'd much rather we are in pot 3 than 2
Looks like a group of death could be more likely for one of our pot 1 teams than City this time around

Don't think Utd Arsenal or Chelsea would fancy PSG Dortmund & Napoli

So, how does it work? will they select from these pots, one from each? and teams from same league can't be drawn together?
so we could get:

Barca/Munich/Madrid
PSG
Napoli

now, that would be a shit storm in a tea cup!

How the fook do they get those numbers though.  Arsenal should not be higher than us, even if they have qualified for the last x years.

Likewise we should not be higher than Dortmund who won their league same year as us and got to the final last year FFS.

Totally agree Blistering. Makes no sense to me.
We all know we'll get the shit sandwich to eat again when the draw's done. However I will feel far more confident than the last two years as I think we now have a manager that will not be found wanting tactically.
With our squad we should be putting the fear up any one of those top seeded clubs.

Pretty much, but it goes a bit further.  Like, if an association has two teams, neither can be in the same half of the draw - so if one gets drawn in group B, for example, the other can't be drawn in groups A, B, C or D.  And if there's three or four, then you can't get two teams in the same block pair - so if one gets drawn in group B, then group A is not available.  Or at least I think that's it.

However, it doesn't matter which pot you're in as you're as likely to get a tough group as an easy one.  It's entrely possible we could get drawn against Porto, CSKA and BATE.

So our group will contain Bayern Munich, PSG and Napoli.  And the rags will get Marseille, Olympiakos and APOEL.  Or very similar.

It's like another version of FFP! protecting the established "big clubs" from early punishment, but like you say TBW, with our new and improved side, we will be giving everyone the fear if drawn against us! I'm quietly confident that we will have a decent season and pick up a trophy or 2, and get back to our steamroller ways, playing exciting football.
