Re: Winter Break
I would think the only way to fit in a winter break would be to drop a competition.
The thing is people forget their geography leasons. Yes we get the occasional snow and ice but mainly we have a maritime climate with warmer, wetter winters than the clasic continental cold eatwinds that freeze the ball cocks off the cysterns. Our weather 90% of the time is ideal for winter football, all winter, so why have a break because it happens elsewhere?

Re: Winter Break
The players want it, the FA would probably back it and the fans would appreciate it if it proved to be beneficial to their teams.
Unfortunately, Sky calls the shots and there's no way they'd want to miss out on a couple of weeks revenue so it's unlikely to happen.

Re: Winter Break
Boris not sure the fans would want it benificial or not. Look how bad it is twiddling thumbs when the "imortant" friendly internationals are played!!!

Re: Winter Break
I'd miss boxing day fixtures, they just want to have time off round Christmas, we've seen it with players getting coincidental suspensions which rule them out of games around this time.
I don't buy the excuse that a lack of a break has caused our international teams failure, nor do I buy Bacon Face's whinge about it after his second humiliation at Wembley.
