gossip from the club
Another day, another striker on the move? Carlos Tevez isn't the only international goalscorer who prompts envious glances from overseas clubs, as skysports.com report today.
They are keeping an eye on Sweden's John Guidetti, who's out of contract at Eastlands and, although he has been offered a new deal, is being courted by Twente, Steve McClaren's old Dutch club.
Skysports.com reveal: "The 19-year-old and his father, Mike, travelled to Holland for talks with Twente two weeks ago. Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf has reported that Guidetti has agreed terms and could sign on Friday.
"His agent, Per Jonsson, claims that may be premature and although he was surprised Guidetti had to undergo a medical at that stage, he confirmed Twente are still in pole position."
The story goes on to quote Jonsson - "Nothing is done yet ... Twente is definitely an option but we have been to other places as well" - adding that "there is still strong interest in England".
Still with strikers, Blackburn Rovers are well aware that Santa is not just for Christmas and, according to givemefootball.com, want to keep Rocky there all year round.
They report: "Manager Steve Kean is aiming to speak to City about the availability of Roque Santa Cruz.
"The Paraguayan striker returned for a second spell at Ewood park last season ... and Kean admits that after keeping the club afloat, he would like to discuss Sant Cruz's current status with City."
They quote the boss: "It was tough for Roque. He picked up a couple of knocks, but every day in training, he showed us how good he is. Now the loan period's up, we'll be in contact and see if he's available."
The Tevez saga, rest assured, has not moved on - the nature of the internet and the lifting and recycling of stories that goes on often presents old news as, er, new news. Like today.
But here's a City link to make you think: footylatest.com reckon: "The Cesc Fabregas to Barcelona saga is now hotting up, and the Spanish giants are feeling confident that they will get their man, despite higher bids from both Chelsea and Manchester City.
"According to reports in Spain, the Arsenal captain will tell Arsene Wenger that he won’t accept a move to any other club than Barcelona, thereby forcing the Gunners manager to accept the Catalans bid, no matter how much Roman Abramovich will pay to take him to Chelsea."
We thought it was common knowledge that his heart was set on Barca. Then again, he's never strolled down Deansgate on a gloriously sunny June day. Come to think of it, neither have we ...

Re: gossip from the club
Shame about Guidetti. Bobby should have given him a few games. I mean FFS he gave Jo a few !
RSC is dire. Blackburn are welcome to take him on loan or on afree transfer. Biggest waste of money EVER for City
Fabregas has been going on about playing for Barca ever since he came to this country. Let them have him. He wouldn't want to be at City or Chelsea

If Barca bag Fab, they wont have the brass for Sanch.
Even though he'd rather remain in Italy (or go to Barca), I'd welcome him with open arms at CoMS.
