Those dates should provide some clues for the last two questions. By your reckoning Bluey, we scored 500 PL goals in 3 seasons!

Huh?....I was thinking since the inception of the PL, it may have been around 2001/2/3? 10 years....or am I being really thick?

Then another 13 years for us to score our 1000th, just lately.

I believe it was 11 seasons to score the 500 ( or we were just into the 12th season) (9)

The 1000th goal by my reckoning makes it the 18th season

It took us 16 years to get to 500 goals (although we did have the odd rest from the PL during that time!!) and then a further seven to get the next 500.

50th goal, I'm guessing would be Sheron or Quinn.

How? If, lets say Oz said 18th season, does that mean he calculated how many seasons we've been in the PL....and as the 1000th was scored recently, I guess it doesn't take too much working out....even if I answered as 10th for 500th....guess my 13 years later would have been too simple?

I'm confused mate!!! But we've only been in the PL for 18 seasons.

And as my earlier post said....I was taking the years, as in years since PL inception, not years 'we've' actually been in the PL.

So, for number 9.....I was thinking since the PL inception, it may have taken us 10 years or so to score 500 goals. That takes us to 2002/3?


For number 10, it asks how many seasons to score the next 500....therefore, as our 1000th was scored this year, I presumed another 13 years.....

I didn't take it as 'the actual time we had spent in the PL'....must have misinterpreted the question....therefore, Oz's answer was correct?

seriously struggling now....can't think of more forward attacking players - what about Curle or Vonk from a set piece? or an own goal by another player?

I just calculated how many seasons we had been in the premier league, I almost forgot the 1 season under Joe Royle which would have meant my answers would have been 1 season out.

So it took us half the time to score the next 500 goals! That shows you what money can do...
