Phil Collins would have done a better deal on Caicedo
That was a rank bit of business on Caicedo.
Buy the kid for £5M, hardly play him. Loan him out with a buy out clause of £800k, the boy does good and is sold on for £9M!!!
Ok, so no-one every expected him to do so well, but in any deal Id have a sell on clause. 50% of any future transfer fee.
We could have made another £4M on this guy, enough to pay Gael Clichy's wages for one season!

I can't work out if this is said tongue in cheek Topdawg. I didn't know he'd been sold tbh, but imo £9m is a great bit of business by City. To nearly double your return for a player that never really played is fantastic, only Jo, RSC, Bellers and Ade to sort out now.
Sell on clauses are rarely included by "big" teams nowadays, so it's no surprise that's not included.

sdhaken, we loaned him out to levante in spain with a buy out clause of 1M Euros. they have an offer from a russian club of 9M Euros .
they obviously thought (coaches and management at city) that he wasn't any good so they basically let him go.
nothing wrong with sell on clauses if you are letting someone go on the cheap/free etc.
