watched the game with my father in law and said i thought city would lose esp when i saw the starting line up.

we wobbled badly in the 1st half yet we still looked a very decent team at times.

if we'd lost by 5 or 6, the title would have been a huge challenge. it still is but i feel better after that 2nd half.

How many clear cut chances did they have in the 2nd half? Said it all that Taggert had to bring on Anderson.

we were ragged at times in the 2nd half but that is to be expected as we had 10 men and were chasing the game.

i'm proud of the way the lads battled back and battled hard until the end.

just a shame that we were pretty poor defensively in the first half

Plays, we've used that formation before - can't remember which game it was, now, but I've seen us switch to a back 3 with two wing backs in another game and it worked for us then as well.

Given where we were, it was a truly inspired decision. Lescott, Savic and Zaba at the back, giving Richards and Kolarov the room to push forwards on the break. The only difference I'd have made would've been to pull Nasri instead of Silva, but then again I guess little David needs a rest.

Loved the way the entire team bound together and fought as one to try and turn it around. And came very close indeed! Truly excellent performance which made me feel a whole lot better in the second half.

Hoping now that the rags get distracted with the cup run and get dumped in the final by Everton

Personally am hoping that the dippers cause them a ton of grief re: result, injuries, suspensions/bookings. And stocking things up for when they meet in league - Suarez's first game back.
