CAVANI STILL ON?
ww.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/edinson-cavani-transfer-manchester-city-1943586?
Edinson Cavani says Chelsea or Manchester City move would be a 'pleasure'
'To be coached by people like Manuel Pellegrini and Jose Mourinho would always be a pleasure,' says Uruguay frontman...
SO, what happens next? the saga continues!!!

Re: CAVANI STILL ON?
I will be well pissed off if we fail to get Cavani
Our owners need to go out all out for this one IMO otherwise it will be just like last year with Van Pussy
Chelsea will be the team to beat with The Special One anyway. Hazard Lampard Mata Oscar Ba or Torres & Cavani would be some attacking line up

Re: CAVANI STILL ON?
TMG my sentiments exactly. Cavani I feel is the difference between being 2nd or winning the championship. with him champions Chelsea get him we will finish runners up again. Van pussy was the difference last year. This year please god ( or jesus ) as we have him soon, make sure we get in first this time.

Manchester City are considering a move for Borussia Dortmund striker Robert Lewandowski should they fail to capture Edinson Cavani this summer, Goal understands.
The Poland international's future remains up in the air after Dortmund chief executive Hans-Joachim Watzke poured cold water on his expected move to Bayern Munich on Sunday, insisting that Lewandowski wouldn't follow team-mate Mario Gotze in joining their Bundesliga rivals this summer.
"We want to find a good solution for all parties involved," Watzke told Bild on Monday. "That's why I will not say that he will definitely stay at Dortmund. I can say that he will not move to Bayern Munich in 2013, though."
And City, who held informal talks with Lewandowski's agent during last summer's European Championships, could look to swoop in on a cut-price move for the striker, who has only a year remaining on his current contract at Westfalenstadion that he is refusing to renew.
City are keen to move Dzeko - who they value at £20m and who earns £110,000-a-week in Manchester - on during this transfer window, and he sees Dortmund as an ideal destination and as such could be used in any move for Lewandowski.
Speaking in May, Dortmund boss Jurgen Klopp conceded that Dzeko is a target Bundesliga outfit would "think about" should he become available, and hinted that he would suit the club's long-term aims.
Lewandowski has bagged 66 goals in 99 games during his last two seasons at Dortmund, and impressed City officials when the teams played each other in the Champions League group stage last term.
Well. it's as obvious to all, that a swap with Lewandowski would be the most obvious conclusion if Cavani isn't on!

Re: CAVANI STILL ON?
In fact...if we did send Dzeko the otherway, Lewandowski would pretty much cost nothing, and I reckon cheaper wages.
In essence we are technically only paying for one player.

Don't think Tevez and Aguero will be best pleased if we signed both Cavani and Lewandowski.......would be a tremendous strikeforce though.

Re: CAVANI STILL ON?
LAtest gossip from elsewhere is that we have signed Cavani for £25m + Dzeko + Kolarov

Personally, I have heard contradictory stuff regarding Dzeko, who would only go to Italy if it was AC Milan, the team he supported as a kid, so, there you have it.
I think it's total bollox myself, but if true would be be great to off load Kolarov as well!!!

Re: CAVANI STILL ON?
Latest is the Madrid will soon be in for him, his preferred destination... so, I think we can forget about Cavani, and get Lewandowski in, failing that just stick with what we have!

Re: CAVANI STILL ON?
That's got to be a wind up because even though Kolarov is a bad defender, he isn't worth negative money!! (only just mind you!)
