Negredo out, Falcao in....

The rumour tonight is that Negredo is in advanced talks with Vallencia for a seasons long loan with Falcao coming to us.

If that's the case, I'd be happy with that...especially with the Beast being injured.

I'd be happy too, but for less than £55m. We can't stretch to that. Perhaps a loan with the option to buy would be preferable, giving us time to offload the dead wood.

Graham Hunter in Spain, reckons it's 40m euros to buy.

However, this has all been instigated by Falcao's agent...so I wouldn't hold your breath as anything can happen. Apparently, Falcao wanted Real Madrid....they don't want to buy any more players. Therefore, he has bombarded City with offers to get his player away from Monaco.

United have now shown an interest, but without CL football, not sure he would be too keen...however, they could easily pay over £50m, so that could go in their favour.

City will need to raise at least £25m to comfortably buy Falcao or get him on a season long loan with the option to buy, which seems the most sensible option.

Negredo and Valencia have agreed terms, but City haven't agreed anything yet.

So....with Arsenal showing interest as well, they could afford a big fee and need a striker...and are in the CL.

If it comes down to offering Monaco the most money, we'll be outbid. If we get rid of Negredo for north of £20M, Nasty for £12M, Richards and Guidetti for a combined £8M we'll be able to offer about £50M as we have the money from the sales of Rodwell and Barry (about £12M). We still have Sinclair to offload as well.

Still think the sensible thing will be to loan for 12 months and buy next year.

Not sure if that would be outlawed by UEFA. I agree, best is to get hom on loan with an option to buy. We need to get rid of those players anyway though.

Falcao's only gone for the money, clearly. He's gone from a club with CL football to one that doesn't. He could've gone to Arsenal, been first choice striker all season (even when Giroud got fit again), played in the CL and got the full transfer value. But I guess the desperate dans were willing to pay more wages.
